npw317 contest has ended now but if you export from illustrator you can save image as JPG then upload...so you know for next time, good luck ;-)

Is it possible to submit one more design. I'm new to using this site and didn't know that illustrator files cant be uploaded so I didn't have time to upload the last one.

Hello, just seen all the feedback on here, Nemo79, thanks for pointing out that contest, was not part of it nor have I seen it, theirs no need to be rude about the topic, I just think it is very easy to tread on other designers toes in contests...regardless of other design contests on here, I was plainly discussing this contest only.

Research, yes is important, but I very much doubt checking nearly 200 contests before you upload a logo design is the way to go, that would be a massive job to do and very rarely doubt you do that yourself, it would take me days if not a week to do that! ;-)

I can genuinely say I have not copied off anything, im a good designer who doesnt need to do petty things like that, so please leave the insults out, designs are everywhere and alot of the time silimar designs pop up, this happens but they are always different in someway, I decided upon these designs after a quick disscussion with Jenifer after she explained what she was liking.

The issue I have, and the rule I run for myself is not to upload before you check what else is in the contest. This is purely because if another designer has taken that concept, or something close, then by respect I do not upload as it is rude to design something which with a simple modification another designer can do.

So, their is my side of the whole situation, I do not really understand why these contests can get so nasty so quickly, but I guess it is all part of the game with most people here, which is fair enough if that is the way they like to deal with designing.

Hopefully now you can understand why I pointed that out as it is not something I would have uploaded into a contest with my design already their, maybe I just have too much respect for others!
