And since I'm not the creative type (I'm more analytical) I really needed the benefit of your talents. There were many entries that I could have been happy with with but Mikep25 captured me with his design work.

I may have lead some of you to believe that I would end the contest early. When I sent the previous message I think I saw "3" hours left instead of "13". I will not end the contest early.

Unfortunately there are a lot of entries coming in towards the end and I may not be able to give any feedback other than stars unless it's a design that really grabs me and might need a tweak.

We're getting close to the end and I'll be deciding a winner soon. I see several new last minute entries. I Have my favorites and will be declaring the winner soon.

I wish I could have given more and better feedback to each of the entries but the volume of designs submitted just made this too hard to do.

I just read the rule about the minimum prize level being $100 so I don't think my 2nd and 3rd prizes are within the rules of the contest since my top prize is already at the minium. I am withdrawing the 2nd and 3rd place prizes. I apologize for modifying my contest without fully understanding the minimum prize rules.

There are several entries that I really like and it will be hard to pick just one. So I'm announcing a second and third prize for this contest. First prize is the $100 of course. Second prize is $50. Third prize is $25. Awarding the prize will require that I'm allowed rights to the logo. Most everyone has worked hard on their entries so if you don't want to transfer the logo at a lower prize amount I understand. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners will be the only ones offered the prize. If the 2nd or 3rd prize winner declines to accept the prize and give me rights to the logo I will not pick a substitute.

I have modified my brief slightly. When starting the contest I wasn't sure what I was looking for. But after seeing the entries I have a better idea of my likes and dislikes. The changes to the brief aren't major but do get a little more specific.

As the entries continue to come in I'm seeing a pattern to the ones I seem to gravitate towards. Sleek and not too complicated with a horizontal layout are the ones I'm preferring. I'm hoping that my comments plus the way I've rated some of the designs are helping to convey what I'm looking for.

Prowlerconcepts - thanks for the explanation of the multi-designs in a single entry.

This is my first contest and I'm wondering what it means if a designer has more than one logo design in their entry. Does that mean I win all of those logos if that entry wins? Or does it mean that the designer is wanting me to narrow down one of the designs in the entry so he can resubmit it as a separate entry?.

Wow! Some really good designs here and some of them are spot on for the style I'm looking for. The designs submitted so far are really good considering how little info I gave you about me (to ruchi's point).

I like computers, science fiction (books and movies), and comedy. I don't really have favorite colors but I shy away from pastels and earth tones. My goal in life, other than being rich, is for friends and acquaintances to understand my opinions and the way I think, even if they don't agree with them and to keep learning new things and technologies. The only sport I really follow is American football. I think I'm more left brained than right brained if that makes sense to you.

I like to think that I'm politically and socially middle of the road. Although since I'm in my late 40's I'm probably more conservative than I used to be or think I am.

All that being said, I don't want my logo to be "themie" (is that a word?) and lean towards a more toward a professional or conservative look. If it helps I can tell you that I like the styles that fedelucesoli, Mr. Ink, prowler concepts,visual dreamz, & conduct. I also am drawn to Tigratho, depart3d & BeznerDesign. I've found that I'm concentrating more on the looks of the "BC" and a little less on the bobcriswell.com
