    Hello CH
I spotted that you not give any words to majority of the work, you can eliminate work you do not like, it is something that we need as guidelines, now we are blind and sitting in the dark!

    Designers,

We are very close to a decision. The reason for the time gap is we're talking it out and thinking...

    Thanks!

The right mark wouldn't take so long to choose. You would see it in an instant and feel confident about it.
    Obviously there is a problem.

The direction is off and was governed by the ratings.
The movement is not a happy go lucky, cupcake and apple pie, Oprah group.
For obvious reasons it also shouldn't feel like BIG BUSINESS, ie, rated ones that look like: Chanel, Audi, Dunken Donuts, Target, YMCA, Overstock.com, etc. It should be serious, powerful and clever.
    It is propaganda.

(Rage Against The Machine) should be the ones behind the decision making or have a voting system set up for the entire movement to judge. Being that the 1% judging this comp is way off, It only makes sense.
I suggest another 3 days of design without using an O and without ratings. Designers creativity were being repressed in only one direction. You're missing the mark, pun intended.

when I was little, but not so that I can not remember I became a witness in civil movements that changed whole political system - never forget the mood of the people then.
I will not argue with you about nothing.
just send you this link. It is really creative way to show any protest...

How do you think if there was no creativity, it would be world famous after so many years? Every small or big revolution - without creativity is doomed to oblivion. Even I think every creative idea is a small revolution in your head, and its evolution is successful creation - some times it is good some times not enough :) Happy Valentine and Trifon Zarezan from our creative little team to all!

Not to add to the dribble, but this is an important statement that must be made. If this is to be the mark that represents people fighting the establishment, it had better be quite powerful.

For those of us who are professional designers, we need to set an example to our piers and the amateurs that participate in these "contests". To just dish out an image because we think it is what the client wants is irresponsible on all of our parts. For once, the money is good, but the message is the same...outsourcing devalues our craft.

There are a few good images on here that grab attention at first glance, but is there anything here that really represents solidarity and voice of the people? I see many different styles of "O"s, some of which remind me of the logo for the movie "The Ring".

If this is what the client really wants, ok. But remember, we chose to give them this type of work for such an important message.

Good luck to all and I hope the CH chooses wisely.

You are wrong Joshua from any pertinent perspective of a creative mind.
What you say is that a designer is practically a tool which is way wrong. Of course is the client's money and they hire us for our expressed creativity and because they don't have that "sparkling" thing when it comes about logo. There are here because they wanted to set themselves apart from the rest and they needed an identity.
We are here to express something through that logo and that something MUST be different than a 6year old kid thinking if you target to be creative and unique. I always guide my clients and always offer them a little extra topping their wishes - which are always banal and crowded by non-artist thinking. THEY are always pleased and they don't need 7000 proposals to end up with a crap.

Think like you mentioned in your post and the number of your returning clients will be ZERO.

    Hello, CH,

I have to agree with many people on here. Do you really want to pay $1000+ for an "O" that you could have copied from the "Occupy.com" on your website and pasted it above yourself? It looks just as good as the ones you gave 5 stars to. This will be a part of history, you want something creative and unique that will stand out. An "O" no matter how "artistic" it looks could stand for anything, but many of these other creative symbols that I've seen on here have a meaning. Please rethink what you consider 5 star entries.

Good luck to all the designers, even the ones who created the "O"s because you were just following what the CH wanted. :)

Again people, this contest holder is NOT the official OWS website, nor are they affiliated in any way with the official OccupyWallStreet.net

The fact that they've tried to restrain artistic expression, only solidifies my my above statements as a "small group" that actually doesn't know much about the movement and its free and open message of expression and solidarity.

I have pulled all four of my design since finding out that they are not in any way connected with the official OWS - anyone who puts ethics and genuine solidarity above money would do the same.

I absolutely support the Ulahts view of the lack of creative concepts among your favorites. Yep, the circle = O = occupation is a good challenge for creative thought, but unfortunately I did not find any clever concept about this among the finalists. When a movement does not want to be equated with creativity, I begin to ask questions, how this movement will defend its cause - is this a serious movement or just a crowd that is trying to become interesting. Excuse me for the strong words, their aim is not to offend you but only to provoke your deeper thought to be a really solid and respectable movement in the eyes of designers - - the creative part of the world. Good luck!

I like this contest, all designers around the world gathered in a great contest and the contest is not blind, so the designer can create an original work different from others. If the designer is gathered in one place and one time then it is quite remarkable, with a spirit of kinship and healthy competition. Can this happen sometime? for all the designers keep the spirit and keep working. This is the true spirit occupy ... Peace

    Designers!

We are working on picking the finalists. Sorry for the delay. We're trying to get a lot of feedback on what has been an overwhelming contest.

We also can't help but read all the comments -- and we are sorry that there has been some misunderstanding. Please don't jump to wrong conclusions because of a random, misinformed post.

To be clear: occupy.com is operated by a non-profit, Occupy.com, INC. The domain was purchased in November by an anonymous donor for the purpose of engaging more people in this movement. He has entrusted the domain entirely to us.

The site is currently being set up by a small group of committed people who come from Occupy Wall Street. We are not an official Working Group of OWS, but we are genuine, impassioned and doing our very best.

Thank you for your great work, your understanding and your willingness to go with the flow.

    Solidarity,
    The Occupy.com Team

First of all occupy.com should be about creativity and artistic wave.
Right now i only see only one percent of that.
I am even ashamed to be participating in this contest, it's exactly the opposite of what occupy.com should be.
