NRG Next Radical Generation
We are a kids ministry, we hold multiple church services for children, ranges include: Birth-2years, 3- 5 years old, 1st through 4th, and 5th-6th grade. Our services engage kids on specific their level and educational needs; we have ditched the felt boards and duck-duck goose by replacing them with multimedia presentations, live music, high energy games and a hands on learning environment is the norm for our kids, not necessarily what you would think of at your traditional church or sunday school class. We want our design to be as captivating as our kids church service is.
Once again, Next Radical Generation host a wide variety of ages ranges, so it's important when it comes to what engages them on their level, i.e. Blues Clues and Curious George to Phenias & Ferb and iCarly. Ages 3 to 12 is our typical demographic.
However our design needs to be specifically targeted primarily for 9-11 years of age. Then, secondly for the parents/young families (mid-30ish) of those children, that they themselves would find interest in what their kids are loving. Ideally we want the children to know that learning is fun, exciting, and relevant. This design should scream we love kids, while having lots of energy (NRG).

We are looking for a logo and typeface/logotype, something worth trademarking! Thus, creating two potentially different ways to market and advertise our ministry.
1. Needs to be bright, bold, and potentially colorful having the ability to stand out even if it has to be monochromatic or grayscale. (for promotional purposes: t-shirts, stickers/decals, etc.)
2. Low to zero serif

5. Consider incorporating an energy (NRG) concept much like @charmiel #20 It might be in your best interest to keep that in mind!
