I think people need to understand the fact that he is paying someone to create a logo that he likes. Even if you think the logo is not up to your standards. People just need to stop being mad because he didn't like what you came up with.
its up to the contest holder at the end of the day he wants the best design, your not picking it so you all wouldnt know what its like
Thanks for the feedback, @brightansh. Its my first design challenge here at 99 designs so still working out the process.
The main elements we are trying to get across are collaboration and filmmaking. You're right in that many of the designs haven't gotten this across.
You may have noticed we gave a lot of feedback on #140, mostly because it is an original approach, and the multiple hands suggested collaboration, and the shadow puppets is a filmmaking convention.
But, we're still hoping some designs will come in the final days and really nail the concept. Thank you for your feedback!

I am sorry to say, but i dont think this contest is going on the right track.. #140 , maybe the concept is good but it is not showing a lot of people contributing and the quality is also not upto the standards, and many more designs which do not have anything portraying a mass contribution.. @Ch Sir its very important that you are clear in your mind what actually do you need otherwise you will get nowhere and you will end up choosing the wrong logo and wasting your money, take a moment and think what you actually want.. best luck
@kernelpanic - sometimes unexpected designs are the best - designers who show something different.
@nomadwebdesign - designers who have implemented a "screen shape" as you describe have still been given feedback to indicate that whats ON the screen is created collaboratively.

"Better with the screen, but screens suggest *watching* movies, while we want to encourge and get across the idea of *making* movies :)"
Most of leading entries are with the screen shape...
Good example of why you shouldn't read the brief when somebody made something completely different with the stipulated and get 4 stars! :)

-It should feature the Mozilla Dino (You got it!)
-It should use use the iconography of filmmaking (Yes)
-It should be in the Mozilla spirit (Of course)
-It should follow font style guides (Yes, the Mozilla font is the EuroStyle...)
