One more thing, most of the designed content is completely useless from a programming standpoint since its only going to be formatted when the specific tools that are going to be programmed. Ie, the marketting statistics graph, the tables and charts, etc.

Very true point. Nadia, its really only a couple of functions (adding news articles, adding youtube videos, comments on each content item and users accounts, etc, nothing very difficult. I also pmed him about posibly integrating with wordpress, which would make things easier but custom coding is what I would do in this case. Anyway, The excel spreadsheet would be very difficult and I have no experience but some sort of alternative can be made to display the data. Anyway, if you choose inder I hope he has programming skills. No offense to CDSCreative but I dont think that would be a smart decision. I'm trying to be unbiased here with advice.

I can do the work as I PMed you and would like this project as I need work right now.

    Anyway, goodluck to all.

No way are all your requirements going to be covered by the prize on offer. I'm not entering the contest but only offering advice as an experienced designer and coder. I suggest you really think about a few of the specific requirements you need (like the excel spreadsheet - this just isn't gong to work as you think it might :) and list them as definite requirements, otherwise, you may find a design you like, but it may be difficult to judge the quality of the code that is produced for you if the *exact* requirements are not know to everybody before they start.

It's easy enough for a designer to come up with a design for what you need, but it really requires a coder/developer with experience to put together a website that will work exactly to the specifications outlined in your comments above. A standard html/css page isn't going to allow you to do *everything* you have asked.

    Hope this helps :-)

This site will in no way be like reportonbusiness.com, I just like the look of the site in terms of where the buttons are, the Size and placement of the Site name. I like the colors of the Reportonbusiness site because it looks like a news site more than a site trying to "sell you" on something. My site is not going to be anything complex, I would like to add links to news articles very similar to the way http://ml-implode.com/ does. In addition, I would like a video section where I can embed youtube videos without someone having to go to youtube to view the video. I have an excel file that I would like to have in the site to where clients/viewers can plug in numbers and see calculations. I will also have a section where users can post homes for sale with pictures (this doesn't have to be in site from beginning if very expensive). Basically, I have to be able to update/add info on site daily versus having a site that is static all the time.

Just to clarify this would require a database and server side script. I suggest you specify the exact features you are looking for so that developers get an idea if it is worth the prize amount. Coding is a lot more expensive than design although the features (and more) you mentioned are doable in PHP/MySQL for 1k, although on an exclusive contract. I don't know if I would participate in a contest as that significantly lowers the prize for the actual design.

If you are looking for a complete, clone, clone of http://www.reportonbusiness.com/ don't even wish for it for $1k. However, if you specify the specific features I'm sure it would be more reasonable.

What kind of sections to the site are you looking for?

I suggest you specify the exact you are looking you are looking for so that developers get an idea if it is worth the prize ammount. Coding is a lot more expensive than design although the features (and more) you mentioned are doable in PHP/MySQL for 1.2k, although on an exclusive contract, I dont know if I would participate in a contest as that significantly lowers the prize for the actual design.

So far you said you wanted the ability to post articles and embed youtube videos. If you dont have any specific algorithms you want to odevelope for the real estate market, I would suggest you use Wordpress as your server backend as it is relatively flexible and has the features you are looking for in general.

I hate to say it, but I'm not very smart in terms of Web lingo, I would like the ability to update site daily by creating links to news articles from other sites as well as embed youtube or other videos into a video page. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but code can be whatever as long as it is in a format that can be updated easily. Hope that helps. Also, I have some content written if you would like me to send to you to work with.

Need more clarification about coding: Is contestants must have the ability to create PHP/ASP data driven website? or just making into HTML/CSS? Thanks before. :)
