CloseDesign brief
This logo will be used by an author. Mooner Johnson is the main character in the book and he writes a blog. He communicates his opinions and feelings by "mooning"- showing his bare butt in piblic. He plucks and dyes his butt hair into words or art and he has props to assist with his moon shows. He is opinionated so he moons often.
Mooner is "The Most Inappropriate Man In The World". See what he is about at the new website, under construction, and click to his blog at www.moonerjohnson.com
Mooner has unique perspectives on everything.
Mooner will blog about his experiences with this process.
Mooner Johnson
Adults with a sense of humor; environmentalists; liberals; people with a unique view of the world; curious people.
The logo will utilize the printed name "Mooner Johnson" and design the moon theme using the two "O's" in each name. Use actual moon images, butt cheeks, eyeglasses- whatever you can think of for the moon images to replace to "O's". Thoughts could be full, waxing and waning moon phases integrated into the four moons; man-in-the-moons; eyes as moons; reflections off glasses lenses; whatever. But it must be suitable enough to sit on a Barnes and Noble shelf.
The logo will be integrated into the book jackets as well as used for packaging, bus cards, etc. The logo must pop visually since it will be central to other designs. Can be animated but not too cartoonish.
Colors and typeface- good contrast between moons and type. Any color and type OK so long as high legibility.
Make it expressive, make it clear and make it solid- something you are proud of. If it can be altered to change moods, even better.
Be as creative as you want. I can rein you in. I will check in many times each day to comment. Please hold nothing back.
There will be additional design work based upon this logo.
It can be larger than normal logos, but legible if shrunk to 33% of a bus card in size.
Have fun with this!!!
Please note**** the "O's" in Mooner must be representations of the moon, or hint at mooned butt cheeks, or both. It just must be suitable for store shelves in a typical bookstore.
