Brief Summary

McLaren Vale Studio Apartments are a complex of six very modern contemporary Bed and Breakfasts. They will have ultra modern decor that is unique and stylish, the latest in home theatres, full kitchens with stainless steel appliances, bold modern colours and spas. We are looking for a logo to GRAB the attention of potential guests. We are located on the main road and this logo will be displayed on the sign at the front of the complex, the brochures and web site.

    RFS don't get your nickers in a knot. :) If you read the brief she said she wanted something .modern/contemporary which if I'm not mistaken means some what minimalistic. Sure she should have left feedback but some CH's just don't have the time to hold our hands through the process or are simply unwilling to do so.

    Sometimes you just have to interpret the brief and give it your best shot.

    Hey, thanks for having the common courtesy to leave feedback... oh wait, you didn't. I normally don't have a problem with it if I spend hours of my time designing something, and it doesn't happen to get picked.... but my design followed what you asked for to a T, and while I understand it didn't win, you could have at least had the common courtesy to leave some sort of feedback before the contest had ended, so that I could have given it another shot.

    CH, could you please comment to each designer separately please? When you make an open comment it's very difficult. The designs are all different and you cannot "blanket" critique them all as one. I appreciate you want to make a general comment but I feel what you have commented doesn't reflect what I or some other designers have done, so where does that leave us. You will get a much better response and submissions if you kept track of entries and commented regulary. Thanks!

    Thank you for your submissions. I'm looking for something less corporate and more modern and contemporary. The apartments are state of the art. The decor is contemporary and the design is stylish and ultra modern. I'm looking for something that reflects this design. Elegance without being old fashioned. I hope this helps.

    Thank you for your design. I'm really looking for something a lot more funky and a little less corporate. Could you try this: 5 different images all in a row. They would identify five different things you do in the region when you stay at our apartments.1. "get wet" (there are beaches 5 minutes away) 2. "discover our wines" (wine growing region) 3. "indulge yourself" (we have fabulous home theatres) 4. "sleep in" (maybe an image of breakfast in bed) 5. "dine out" (there are lots of great restaurants here) These maybe in boxes or just images. But it needs to be funky. Thank you again. Roz
