A logo which has a tree. The tree roots end in light bulbs. If you can make it so there is a sunrise behind the tree, it will be wonderful. Lets have 8 roots which end in one light bulb each (total of 8 light bulbs), of different sizes (up to you?) We can make the light bulbs as 'on' and see how that looks, although not too bright. The reason for 8 is that this is a lucky number in Asian/Chinese culture. Then this will help convey the image of ideas being grown into a tree and the sunrise effect which is what the word 'Zao' means in Chinese. Hopefully we can make this tree logo look international and global and not in any way related to being Asian or from one culture.

Thanks so much for coming to our contest. This promises to be one of the most exciting startup companies this year.

What kind of company do you ask is ZaoMarket?

ZaoMarket is a young and energetic company that provides the best global platform for people looking to raise funding for their projects.

The key is that it is a platform, a marketplace, a place where entrepreneurs or established businesses can raise capital for their initiatives. Want an example of how this works?

Let’s say Jack has a great idea to manufacture a digital picture frame that uses solar power. Using ZaoMarket, Jack uploads his project plans, including some schematics and photos. People who visit ZaoMarket and like Jack’s idea will invest in the project, getting something in return. This will allow Jack and other businesses like his to raise money for their initiatives :) What other cool types of businesses could raise funding on ZaoMarket, any, within art, music, technology, games, food, publishing industries etc. So all businesses within any industry.

To all designers, would love to see your ideas on how a logo for ZaoMarket can look. Open to your creative thoughts. I am very proactive in providing positive, constructive and timely feedback.

Just some guidelines:

- Logo should look cool, very cool :)
- Should represent a global company
- The word Zao means morning in Chinese
- You are welcome to try logos with and without the Chinese symbol for Zao (早)
- If you use the Chinese logo, please ensure the logo doesn’t make the company look overly Asian, since we want to ensure ZaoMarket scales globally and be seen as an iconic international brand
- Target all global customers in any market that are the younger demographic (25 - 40 years old) who want to help see great business ideas succeed
- Please think about iconic brands: Google, Apple, Nike etc… we want to make sure ZaoMarket becomes that next ‘it brand’ :)
