Two designers WON this contest. I want to thank everyone who submitted their ideas.

The winning design is something like what I went with, but bluish and xNovus both worked with me via email to make some changes to the font and icon. The new logo looks AWESOME. And I was impressed how the two designers who I'm sure never worked together worked to get my logo exactly the way I wanted it.

Yes, I paid more by paying both designers, but it was well worth it!

If you are someone thinking about submitting an entry for the contest, here's a tip... Be sure you carve out some time to work with all of the designers. As you can see by all of the entries, things got CRAZY today and before I knew it, the idea that I had for my logo quickly morphed into a better design.

Hey everyone, I am trying to be as fair as possible with everyone.

Wow - this is really tough. You guys REALLY work hard for your money here.

I don't know how we'll work all this out, but so you know I play fair, I just sent
bluish and xNovus a message and we are all working on it together. I will
be paying the both of them. (Which is going to cost me a heck of a lot more
money.)

That's the tough part about this site... one designer comes up with something
you really like and want and then it makes all of the other designs you liked
go out of whack. It then makes it even harder when the designer didn't have
the font I needed at first... so I had to have someone else use the icon.
As a note, xNovus didn't like doing that and commented to me on that. I
was upfront and let xNovus know that I would still be compensating bluish.

You guys all brought a lot of great ideas to the table and I really appreciate
it. Thanks.

All of you brought a lot of GREAT ideas on the table here. Here's the final push to selecting a winner. (This has been tougher than I thought it was going to be!)

1. I love the W by bluish

I'm in a tough position because bluish doesn't have the fonts I used. But I want to use the icon that bluish created.

NOTE: For the website, I'd want to make that icon have a reflection on it like how you see on RSS icons. Would also need a "normal" one for a print version of the logo. Also note: I like how the W in the icon is just the slightest shade of green. You can barely see it, but it's very subtle, and looks nice instead of having it all white in the middle.

I see that doing the icon Technorati green makes the "WhackedOut" clash a little because of the blue. Maybe a wrong color choice by me! So, I think doing the "WhackedOut" in a dark grey outlined in a black line would look nice. Not too thick though! I think just a thin dark grey outline would actually look best.

So the race is on. However, being a person who plays fair, because bluish came up with the winning icon (just need to make the minor changes as described above), and because bluish doesn't have the font I want, I'm still going to pay bluish a fee for the work on the logo.

I'll still need someone to take that icon and do as I described in all of the above.
