After some strong entries, #14 is the winner. We decided on this because the iconic figure of the duck and his perfect eyes which are sad and yet endearing, allow us to go in many different directions in the future. He can be a real mascot. There also was just enough quirkiness with the font as it's not just flat but it's off-kilter. There are some nice subliminal "weird" things going here.
I might mention that past the winner, everything else with 5 stars were the favorites and were strong contenders. God luck to everyone and thanks for your efforts!!!!!!! Keep a lookout for TheWeirdoClub.com

THX for all the submissions so far. We won't be deciding until the end of the contest of course but we do have the ones we prefer. I'm reluctant to make too many anymore specific comments on what we're looking for because I don't think it's fair to say publicly what we like on one artist's inspiration and then a bunch of other artists jump on that idea and a subsequent artist win the prize even though THEY did NOT have the initial creative spark that made it happen. I want to respectful to an artist's work. THX.
One idea might be something along the lines of the ugly duckling

4/9 eliminated
