For those who are not paying attention to the news recently, Johnson & Johnson
is suing The American Red Cross over the use of the red cross iconic logo for
violations of an agreement. The US Congress passed a law restricting the use
of the red cross to that of only J&J and ARC can use it. J&J and ARC have in
the past teamed up and sued companies that used the logo and won. So anyone
thinking of using the red cross symbol might want to rethink it for legal
issues. If you don't believe me GOOGLE it! I know I don't need to get hit over
copyright and register trademark law suit.

I'm sorry but I have to comment on this, as I've just found this section of the SitePoint forums. I think that posting a "design contest" for cheap and free work is pathetic. Your cheapening our industry. We work our asses off, we went to school to learn this trade and we consider ourselves professionals. It is really insulting to any good designer. Clients be wary as you get what you pay for. Flame me, say what you will but I know that any good professional designer would never stoop to cheesy design contests - Lets thank the cheap ass clients!

Sitepoint and other sites that do this should be ashamed of themselves for offering this section!

See what real Designers and Professionals in the industry have to say about it!

    * and if your a designer doing this....I think you should know that NO GOOD will come of it...if your just a student or "trying to break into the industry" Visit the Design forum linked above and learn how to be a real design professional. You don't need to stoop down to this!
