    Keegan re, ill give you the benefit of the doubt and attribute that to your poor English, yes what I said was irrelevant, I however am not.

    Reebs, no offence taken and no problem, and I totally agree with you.

    If I offended anyone, I sincerely appologize. My message was only intended as a general warning that copyright law is something that is very serious, something that we as designers must always keep in mind.

    @Ramone - I know getting your designs stolen sucks but really m8 is this the first time this has happened to you? (let it go, let it go :-))

    @Keegan_re - Just because I've only been here for 4 days does NOT mean that I don't understand. In fact I'm sure that it is you who has to do a bit more research. The whole nature of crowdsourcing means that it is INEVITABLE that designs will be imitated (this is magnified when the contest holder provides regular feedback and star ratings), I have found this out in numerous competitions over the past few days, and to a certain extent been guilty of doing it myself. It is a natural conclusion of the process. We (the designers) are ultimately in a position where the balance of power in the design client relationship is skewed against us. In fact it is in the clients interest to get us to work against each other in order to get the best value for their money. Do not assume you know more about this than me based on the amount of time I've been entering contests. Oh, and good job with the Blendium logo, it's real nice (I might have to copy it :-p) and you'll even see I left you a note regarding this on the Blendium competition, and our designs were not even that similar.

    @Reebs

    If that's what you think is going on here then you are very mistaken, if you want to talk to me without the sarcasm, I'll be happy to reply. Oh, also your idea of copyright infringement is mistaken (if you think at any point in this contest your copyright has been infringed, if you really think that then seek legal action maybe?)

    Didn't mean to come across so arrogant about these things but here is a very fine line between copyright infringement and simply being a cheeky b*stard (and I've seen examples of both on this site), and many many people whine here when they are beaten by a very similar design (show me a contest without similar designs, often VERY similar), of course this is a natural aspect of 'crowdsourcing' and one of the main reasons the NoSpec movement hate it so much (which is why I said deal with it, sure it sucks but that's the way it is)

    Regards Both

    Thanks for the definition calum... Up until today, I thought it meant using the global reach of the internet in order to generate original concepts and ideas. However, I have been enlightened.

    One concept that is very real is copyright law. Once a designer has created a work it is their property. Posting it on this site, google images, anywhere on the net is legal proof of ownership. This gives the creator right to seek legal action. The fine alone for using copyright material is more than any contest win.

    Something to be very careful about on this site or anywhere. Is it happening? Yes. But, a heads up - when the courts seek legal action its against the creator and the user.

    Boooooo Hoooooo..... That's the way this 'crowdsourcing' thing works guy's if you don't like it then don't enter. The ripping off of ideas goes on all over this site. Deal with it.

    I don't think that this is fair, It is basically identical to my logo. In my opinion this shouldn't be allowed

    2point, your logo looks almost identical to #25. I can appreciate you're only following the contest holder's feedback, but identical? I suggest you rework...

    These are fantastic. After viewing the submissions I have additional feedback:

    1.) I am a fan of using a street or letter as the icon; but I am still very bullish on text-only submissions
    2.) Script doesn't seem to fit into the logo very well.

    Thanks for the submissions! I like the font and symmetry of entry #1. The icon used in entry #2 is on the right track.
