    Check this out^^
He didn't even buy the design! He just photoshopped the image from the site...
You can see the parts of the istockphoto watermark in the submitted design!

Thanks so much to Perfectedesigns for getting to the bottom of this one before I paid $200 for a $20 logo from iStockPhoto.

OMG! That is so bad! I cant believe this. He didnt design anything himself! That is a total rip off! Should be ashamed! Anyone could have put that up, no creativeness required at all. CH please reconsider your choice for the winner

I dont understand why the CH would want to rehold the contest. There are other designs which entered other than yours, Chris. Plus, why would the CH want to pay ANOTHER $39 to rehold a contest when there are other perfectly original and suitable designs entered here?

Well I've been working in this industry for 10 years, and I think it's all above board. You don't know where I purchased this vector pack, nor what are it's rights and privilages are.

Lets see what the contest holder thinks, and if he wants to rehold the contest, so be it. I'll just create a design twice as good at the last.

Hi Chris - please don't take this personally, I am just warning you of possible trouble you may land yourself in.

Do you not understand that using any clipart/vector stock (even combining elements) has copyright laws. I suggest you read the terms and conditions from the site where the stocks were purchased. For example, the guitar you have copy and pasted into your design is owned by the person that created it and is copyrighted - this is an the same guitar I posted in the links and you can be sued for using it.

I have worked in this industry for 6 years now and have seen this problem arise on many occasions. Vector stocks have certain licensing options - for example, you can use the stocks on flyers, websites, banners etc, but using them for branding/corporate identity is against the law....please don't shoot the messenger.

I suggest in future you create your own imagery, or at least completely customise it so that it cannot be linked back to it's creator.

Again, just some advice you should take on board...

    RE:
No.62 is clipart from shutterstock.com - you probably won't have the rights to make this your logo...just thought I should warn you.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've just taken a look at the 2 links you send before of the supposedly ripped off images, they do have some of the same elements in them yes, but they are both from different users. What does that suggest then clever clogs?

Are they copying each other? NO, ITS A COMMERCIAL VECTOR PACK.
