if not a blind contest, at LEAST i wish there was a design arbitrator at 99desings that could be able to assign a percent to the originator of the idea if it is based on someone else's concept and "made better'.
in some contest, it may be hard to tell.. but in some its very obvious.. it would make for happoer designers.. and happier designers enter more contests...

a second and third prize, ( cash prize wihthout transfer of design )
even if small amounts - would also make it more enticing.

heck.. even Miss Universe runner up gets second prize money, no?

of course contest holders are sometimes also to blame.. i've seen some where the contest holder literally says.. see #0123 and use that same font.. ! so then one is caught in the middle between waning to win and what is ethical..

agreed JR...because you might submit a concept and 10 minutes before the contest is over someone uses your same concept but improves it SLIGHTLY and you lose...it's bogus...but I think we have a lot of talented designers here and you all did a great job.

and before i get accused of copying , i want to say...
a glow effect or using stars i don't think can be considered the total concept per se...

that's like if the name was BigLeaf you think a leaf would be considered a unique idea... ?
its the TYPE of leaf and the style of leaf that makes each unique..

or if the name was firebox and someone put fire in the concept.. does that mean no one else can use fire at all?

its like Levi's were to sue Calvin Klein jeans for because they came up with the idea of putting pockets on jeans. some things just make sense.. and its the way the elements are used (or the actual design on the pocket) that makes it unique.

it also is funny to me when people say i used that font first.. again.. levi's used jeans material first.. can they sue everyone who makes jeans? again.. its what you DO with the elements..

Could you please help us by starting to eliminate the designs you do not like so we can get a feel of what you're looking for? Thanks!

I agree with year ago...although they have similar concepts, they are done differently.

@CyberMoose -- are you a Designer?? if yes then you don't have design sense..cant you see the difference in creativity...??? " i " with Winning Effect~!...as far as Back star effect is concerned i had already used in #33
