I will present my design solutions with both options, "TCV Daily" and "The Conservative Voice". However, I personaly like TCV Daily. Its short and snappy. It fits the web. Its easy to brand. Also, it would stand out more if competitors have similar names to "The Conservative Voice." Also, its not a big jump from the current name. You might want to pose this question to your readers. Just some quick imput to your question.
Note: In the design brief I mentioned that we would consider logos that didn't incorporate the shield and used some different design elements instead. Upon further review it looks like we're committed to the shield, so please note that for any future submissions.
There has been only one submission so far without the shield, and I posted a note on that one noting my appreciation for thinking "outside the box" but also noting that we would be going with a shield version.
Thanks for the nice submissions everyone. I'm going through and leaving individual comments, but I wanted to let everyone know that they've provided some really good options. I think with one more round of slight modifications we will be there.
One piece of the brand creation that I'm interested in your feedback on ... Do you prefer "TCV Daily" or "The Conservative Voice"? The site has been branded over the last year as "The Conservative Voice" ... we're contemplating the move to "TCV Daily" to shorten it, and also because "Conservative Voice" is taken by another site.
