thank you for your advice. we plan on taking the design to our professional designer for modification. the concept is what we were after and we are happy with it.
A agree with Dache on that one - the concept may be what you were after, but as a designer (not because you didn't choose my design, but because I think you need advice on this on) it isn't a very professional looking logo. As dache said, take it to the forums and then you can get some advice on how it can be improved to make it look like a legitimate business logo.
I advise you to take your new found logo to the forums to get some advice on how to improve on it...
