Terry you ok? I don't think legendlogo won? lol Congrats kn. :)
Congrats LegendLogo... I think its a very neat design.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this competition.
The response has been fantastic, with many really high quality submissions, making it hard to choose.
The quick response to my feedback was great, making the later parts of the competition very relevant and very high quality.
Thanks again - hope to work with some of you in the future!
Wow - thanks for the latest flurry of great submissions!
A winner will be decided shortly after the close.
BTW we need the winning submission as an .ai file.
Thanks Terry.
Legendlogo.... very nice work :)
A couple of points:
We are servicing high-end corporate clientele, so the logo should not appear geeky or that of a tech company - there is a fine balance to be maintained in the design between being innovative and corproate.
It is probably useful to clarify what I mean by network. This is not essential to incorporate into the logo, but is the most promising direction I can think of.
A network links nodes with links, and is never symmetrical. It is also does NOT have a central hub.
Here are some example network images to show the concept (NOT what I expect the logo to look like):
http://www.tut.fi/units/arc/ays/tut…etwork.jpg
http://www.futureexploration.net/im…drinks.jpg
http://www.sysbio.org/images/intera…etwork.jpg
Of course the logo needs to be simple and streamlined, so would be highly conceptualized versions of these images.
MORE general comments:
* No one has yet tried all words in the same font on three different lines, with an icon/ logo next to it - this is the most promising route.
* Our clients are the world's largest companies. This MUST be a corporate look, not geeky
* TRY OTHER COLORS if you want!
Some more thoughts, basically restating my previous comments, hopefully a bit more clearly:
* Either all words should be in the same font, or if one is different, it should be "Advanced"
* If all the words are in the same font, they should be on three separate lines. One of the reasons is so that when the logo is scaled to a fixed width, it remains legible.
* The 'network concepts' closest to what I'm looking for are in #2 and #3 - none of the others represent networks. A network is usually represented by nodes (usually circles or spheres) linked by lines or other connectors.
* Any images should be simple and iconic
Thanks everyone - a few general comments that apply to all entries:
* The name is "Advanced ..." NOT "Advance ..."
* Every single entry so far has put "Technologies" on a lower line in smaller font - while I don't rule it out I doubt this is the right way to go - most likely all words will be the same size. I recognize that it's difficult to work with such a long name, so I'm open to other ways of doing this - if one word was going to be different to the others I'd suggest "Advanced" - since this is really about Human Technologies
* Specific comments on each design
Thanks - look forward to next stage.
