    Firstly congrats to syuhada.

@jimmie..100% agree with you. We did what CH ask in the brief. But at the end he 'broke the rule' create by himself. This is not about money, this is about dedication and our commitment in this contest. So we waisting our time here. Very funny huh

Hi, first shot the winning design is not the type you detailed in the contest as you wanted something to appear like wax stamp. A bit disappointed as the chosen design is way off the details written by you and we all designers were working according to the details given by you.

Re the comments about the danger of circular logos/icons/etc, we already have a successful traditional logo and this logo/icon will be used to promote a product of ours (risk free selling) and not our brand per se and ties in with an established theme in our promotional material.

Oh, and just to clear this up, an icon is different from a logo. Logos are a brand the company uses to mark themselves. An icon can be used as a way to give information about a company where the "brand" is the text of the company name. I think this contest is more for an icon anyway.

Hi moser, you are completely right, but I know you are new to 99Designs so here it is... Most contest holders already have an idea of what they want, they don't know the rules of a good logo They like gradients, shadows and colours because they look good in large digital form but they don't understand the issues they will have with sizes, printing and recognizability in the "real world". It is a problem since there are so many amature designers here too because even they don't even know what makes logos great. And you can try to inform CHs but like I said... they know what they want and the customer is always right! I usually submit one great, simple 2 or less colour logo that will work well in all media and one overboard artistic logo just to be safe! Bottom line, do what you think the CH should use and you might give them an AHA momment! Welcome to 99Designs!! By the way, I am not trying to offend anyone, CH or designers, just letting moser know how 99Designs is different from hiring an educated logo designer.

okay. I'm not even in this contest, and I don't plan on being in it but to the holder. Circle logos are EXTREMELY dangerous. and the whole wax seal thing can be too. A circle, like a textured and multicolored logo will limit you when you get to making a website, business cards, signs and more. Since the logo is how you will be recognized you might want to reconsider. look at popular companies, AT&T, Apple, etc... or even go on google and look up good logo design. You should want a maximum 2 color logo, something that can be flattened, and nothing perfectly circular, ie: lining it up with the rest of our square edged world should be easy. Just my unwanted two cents though

Thanks for the most recent submissions. We're pretty keen on the circular designs but would like to see them incorporated in a 'wax seal' graphic.

Thanks for all the submissions so far, I have updated the brief with an idea we'd like to see a few designs based on.

Also the tag line "risk free selling" is optional.

With respect to everyone who has submitted designs so far, we really want something more sophisticated and move away from the clip art look. Consider that a house is the most valuable asset to most people, we want to instill confidence that by selling with our company they have made the right choice and won't be risking their own money to advertise.

Thanks for the early submissions. I should have made it more clear in the brief that we're going for a more serious and trustworthy vibe, a typical fee for selling a house is $10,000-15,000 so we obviously want to portray a feeling of honesty and professionalism.
