The lack of feedback here was terrible. For the money you are offering one would think that you would want the best logo possible. By not offering direction you are limiting yourself to many designers who could have made a difference with some feedback. I hope you arent this distant when you sell cars. It would make for a very unhappy customer. good luck to who ever is left in the race.
LOL, the last few entries that use the "mazda" font are exactly why people should read the comments in a contest before submitting.

hey... at least you got feedback- a privilege which seems to not apply to all.
Mazada Logo can't use it. that has copyright with them.
you said "I don't think I want to see the planet to be part of the logo unless it's very subtil no continents on it." and you said it not in your brief (where you should) but in the entrant's feedback. secodly, i dont think my 1st design potrays a globe that you mentioned about continents. its very subtle and its just a circle.

Hello everyone to answer some of your questions I am a Mazda authotized dealer. For the use of the corporate image I've just had confirmation that I cannot use the mazda logo and the actual font to write Mazda has to be different. I would of mentionned this in the beginning but even my representative at Mazda wasn't clear about this. So what I have been told and what I would like is to write the word Mazda in a way that is similar so that people will recognize it but slightly different so I won't have any problems with Mazda. Thank you everyone and sorry for the confussion.

This could be a serious copyright infringement!!!!!
My guess is that Mazda has some strict rules regarding their logo usage. I'd also be willing to bet that the majority of the entries thus far would get shot down immediatley by Mazda Corp.
