Brief Overview

My name is Kelly Harman. I want to build an online business selling a variety of t-shirt designs and jewelry centered around the concept of Peace. A % sales will be donated to several non-profits that work to help victims of war in various countries. The logo is the first step in this process. The website, once launched, will be www.peacehappens.net. Clothing will be 100% organic cotton or hemp. Jewelry will be sterling silver. I'll be looking for unique designs created by international designers to use on our products. Once selected, we will include the name and photo of the designer on the site and and he/she will receive royalties for anything that gets sold with their design. I am going to be leveraging social media, blogging, twitter, and as many Web tools as possible to promote the company.

Target Audience

My target market is primarily men and women ages 19-35, interested in wearing very original clothing, organically focused and socially conscious. They believe that small things can make a big difference if enough people engage.

Requirements

It is NOT necessary to try and incorporate the peace sign into the logo. The Peace Happens logo will be used in clothing labels and on packaging tags. It will be on the website, business cards, etc. I need something that looks good in black & white as well as color. I'm a font freak, and so I would like you to really think about a great font that you believe embodies the concept behind Peace Happens. If, in addition to a font treatment for Peace Happens, you also want to create a mark, then please do NOT use clip art or anything that resembles a "cartoonish" look. The words I think of when considering the brand of Peace Happens are: clean, energetic, balanced, organic, original, artistic, and contentment. I don't have a huge color preference but would like to stay away from "rainbow" colors or anything tie-dyed. I'm not trying to recreate Woodstock!
