The winner of the nametap logo contest is RetroMetro/Steve (entry #11). This was a very recent entry that was submitted just this afternoon and I loved it from the minute I saw it. His comments really said it all dynamic, strong, suggests a community working together... That is what I saw in the design as well.

The nature of crowdsourcing unfortunately leaves the majority of the participants without the prize. I want to sincerely thank you all, every single one the entrants, for an amazing contest the design mastery of the community here at SitePoint has me in awe.

Hello everyone. I wanted to thank you all again for the great concepts submitted for this contest. I will need an hour or two after the close of the contest to go through the entries and determine a winner. You can all expect to see a winner chosen and posted by 11:00 E.S.T. today. Thanks again to everyone that contributed their time and talents. I have met some great people during this contest and am confident that friendships and business relationships will sprout from this as well.

Here we are in the final hours of the contest and I have to tell you all how pleased I have been with the quality of concepts submitted up to this point - lots of creative thinking and design mastery among this crowd. Everyones individual contributions are greatly appreciated here, regardless of the outcome.

Hello all - I just wanted to update everyone on my new favorite color scheme (as well as one of my new favorite concepts). Please have a look at synergydesigns entries. I'd like to see all new concepts with that color selection moving forward. I also want to point out the clean and bold look from both of synergydesigns entries. Keep these in mind for future design entries. Thanks again for all of the great work.

I have determined that I like the font initially submitted in xpressions #1 entry, and that the color scheme should be close to pathliner's #6 entry. Other than that, I am primarily looking for new logo mark concepts that would be along the lines of the entries listed above. I have no clear front runner here, so I invite all current participants to submit more logo concepts and I also welcome new designers to the contest. There are 4 full days to go and I look forward to seeing every new entry. Thanks again to each person that has given their time and creativity to this contest. It is very much appreciated.
