Congratz igorart5! :)
Nice work, igorart5!!
Congratulations!!
Awesome, y'all. The team and I will have a final decision by end of Monday.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT, PLEASE READ!
I am closing the contest to new submissions. I've found five that I really like and am working with the designers over the next few days to come up with the final winner. Any new submissions will be eliminated without review.
If you aren't in the final five, I may still really like your work and may reach out personally to thank you for taking part in the contest. This has been a wonderful experience.

More specific feedback:
1) No italicized text.
2) No checkmarks as design elements.
3) Please don't embed a "1" in the "O" -- it reminds me of a realty company for some reason and I'm not digging it.
More general feedback -- PLEASE READ!!!
If you get two or more stars, I'm going to give you specific advice on what I liked and what I didn't like. I'll likely ask you to try again focusing on a specific element. If you completely ignore my feedback and submit something else random, I'm not going to look favorably on the new design. If you don't understand what I mean in my feedback, ask for clarification.
Also, I'm trying to give plenty of feedback in this main channel so that people can create entries with a legitimate chance of winning. If, after this post, someone puts italics or a checkmark in their entry, I'm going to know that they're not really interested in winning the contest, because they're not reading my feedback. As a result, I won't bother providing any feedback, I'll just eliminate the entry and move on.
Holy cow, there have been some good submissions in the last two days! I've given loads of feedback individually and I hope that you find it useful and will submit new ideas based upon the suggestions.
We seem to have settled upon a couple of design elements and want to comment on each:
1) Rainbow -- it's old school and when used properly, I LOVE IT. When used improperly, it detracts from everything else. Be careful with this one.
2) Star -- crosses between old school and more modern. Definite game feel. Runs the risk of feeling generic, but again, when it works it really works.
3) OTF Icon -- most attempts at this so far haven't worked, but props to Shalihan for making one that I like.
4) Object Groups -- I've seen raised hands and iconic people so far. It's more complicated than other concepts, but I'd really like to see this flushed out more. Make sure to put the icon to the left and not on top.
It's still early in the contest and I would love to see more ideas that don't fall into these four areas. The Object Groups idea really only surface a coupe of hours ago and I would love to see other unique concepts that people have. Just please stay away from characters and photorealistic art. These aren't working at all :)
Text-wise it's definitely all about thick, san-serif fonts. At most, one spot color to separate the words.
Color-wise, with rare rainbow exceptions, black or white with one spot color is where it's at.
So excited to see everyone's designs continue to evolve. It's obvious that I'm going to find a winner here, so I've guaranteed the prize money. Have a great weekend!
I'm going to post some more general feedback in a bit, but I wanted to quickly spell out how I'm rating things:
* - Entry is 180 degrees from what we're looking for
** - There are design elements that I like and would be interested in seeing more of
*** - This design is clearly headed towards a potentially wining design
**** - If the contest ended right now, this could be the winner
***** - This is the winning entry
I'm trying to provide as much feedback as I can -- one, y'all deserve a customer who is engaged and, two, there have already been several instances where feedback has resulted in some wonderful iterations.
Thank you for taking part in this contest. It's been a joy so far.
The contest holder has guaranteed to award the $550 prize!
Hey mac, fill in black between the f and a and it will look much cleaner. theres my pennies
Hey all, I'm excited to see so many entries less than 24 hours after starting the contest! Here's some initial feedback:
First off, the rainbow has absolutely no relation to our product design. It was merely cribbed from the logo of a company we admire. Please don't use that as a design element unless you really feel strongly about its inclusion.
I'm definitely drawn to thicker fonts than narrow fonts. I've eliminated pretty much everything that has thin lettering.
Super futuristic fonts probably aren't going to work, so unless you fee like your design is truly inspired, let's not go there.
Not liking the use of colors to accentuate the O, T and F. That said, have One, True and Fan in unique colors looks all right. I don't love it more than a consistent color, but I don't automatically dislike it. Play with either of those designs!
Please remember that a variation of the logo needs to render well at only 16 pixels tall. I've deleted almost every square logo from the contest. Please focus on a predominately horizontal logo.
We will be abbreviating the words OneTrueFan to OTF on occasion, so "1TF" won't work. Happy to see some ideas that use "OTF" in the logo, though.
Lastly, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT SO I'M SAYING IT AGAIN, the rainbow has absolutely no relation to our product design. After seeing all of the initial designs with rainbows in it, I'm ready to see what you can do when not saddled with that requirement. The shackles are off!!!
Mac17......you joking or what?
