CloseDesign brief
The company is being launched to support a product being deployed in the next 30 days. In a nutshell, we created a flashcard engine. It's a scalable product that will allow us to create flashcards for any market and deploy to new websites or platforms. In the future, the flashcards will sync between desktop, web app, and mobile app. (Think Evernote) Each site will link back to HueCubed.com.

HueCubed is an ambiguous company name. This logo is for the company website. The audience will be people who have found me via twitter. http://twitter.com/derekhuether or from my website http://thecriticalpath.info. I work in the IT Project Management arena but don't let that be a distraction.
Based on analytics, there will be a lot of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari users. This isn't designed for IE6 users. There will also be a lot of iPhone users.
I'm looking for something with dimension to it. That could be as simple as a drop shadow. Or have a flat layer and then a dimensional layer with shine or gradient color(s). Look at www.huecubed.com and see what the site looks like. You'll notice it's very black and white. I want this logo to pop.
The original logo was comprised of the three uppercase letters “HUE” and one superscript three “³” (ALT+0179). The 2 original ideas I had were "Hue to the power of 3" or "a cube of color".
Again, surprise me! It's all about being creative.
