Thank you again to everyone who entered. This wasn't an easy decision, which speaks to the quality of the entries. In the end, though, I chose Rastyle's excellent logo for the site. Congratulations to him and to all the other designers.

Thanks for all the entries everyone. I'm going to consult with my business partner and then we'll announce the winner.

Guys, be sure to pass on your concerns to Sitepoint 'customer support'. I've been doing that and they are listening.

i only thought that the problems are the order of submitted entries. but right now the contests duration is also not beyond the control of the holder... if sitepoint does not fix this, it will be a problem for all of us...

I think the automated extensions are to compensate for all the bugginess with the beta rollout over an approximately equivalent time

    irisbox-

Are you running into problems with the contest beyond the weird three day extension?

I'm not sure why the contest deadline extended itself by three days. I didn't change anything.

I'm sorry but I have to comment on this, as I've just found this section of the SitePoint forums. I think that posting a "design contest" for cheap and free work is pathetic. Your cheapening our industry. We work our asses off, we went to school to learn this trade and we consider ourselves professionals. It is really insulting to any good designer. Clients be wary as you get what you pay for. Flame me, say what you will but I know that any good professional designer would never stoop to cheesy design contests - Lets thank the cheap ass clients!

Sitepoint and other sites that do this should be ashamed of themselves for offering this section!

See what real Designers and Professionals in the industry have to say about it!

    * and if your a designer doing this....I think you should know that NO GOOD will come of it...if your just a student or "trying to break into the industry" Visit the Design forum linked above and learn how to be a real design professional. You don't need to stoop down to this!
