Boston's Basilica
Holding the honorary title of Basilica, our church's formal name is the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, we are also called "The Mission Church". The present church was built in 1878 by the Redemptorist Fathers and has a towering facade with prominent Romanesque architecture. Housed in the church is the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a well known image that is recognizable all over the world.
The Basilica is a large and very diverse Catholic church serving a community of young and old. As a well known landmark for over 130 years, there is a great sense of tradition established. In 2009, Senator Edward Kennedy's funeral Mass was held at the Basilica, hosting current and former presidents and dignitaries as well as a worldwide audience watching via television broadcasts. We continue to honor the many who built the foundation of the church, but also look to the future as an inviting and relevant living community of the faithful.

We are looking for a logo that is recognizable as the Basilica. Either highlighting the architecture of the facade or the icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. We would be open to merging both of these images somehow as well. This logo will be used across multiple platforms (web,print,and tv broadcasts), scalability and integration with variety of platforms is vital.
