This was a very difficult decision as you can tell by the time it took to finalize the winner. There were many excellent designs and logos. Thank you all for your creativity and patience.

Thank you everyone who has been involved in this contest. We are in the process of making our final decision now so please do not submit any new designs as we do not have time to start with a fresh idea at this point.

There are some really fantastic logos here. Thank you all for your submissions again. Quick reminder - Sonora is the name of our town and while it is an important part of the name, "Sports & Fitness Center" or "Sports & Fitness" is really the key to our business. We also want to convey the importance of being active and general fitness and health. There are definitely many excellent submissions that do this already. I just wanted to reiterate what we are trying to say with our logo. It doesn't necessarily have to be a figure or figures or a stylized person though that seems to be an effective method for showing those ideas.

I am going to start posting comments in your individual discussions. Sorry for not doing that sooner.

Great new options. I like the new active figures in #25, #27, #28 and the group in #34 is a great new concept. I like how it alludes all ages or perhaps a family... More specific feedback to come but I wanted you all to know we ARE looking at your work. Thank your for your revisions.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR GREAT WORK. We have not decided on anything yet. I sent one or two individual messages but decided perhaps everyone could benefit from seeing the comments so I have written something on each logo here.
--#21,#23 & #24 Sonora has only one "n" - the font is difficult to read in #24 &#23. Prefer the font in #21 of those three. Please no teal!
--#20 is there any way to incorporate the person into the logo more - they seem like two separate items now. It's a little too 'gentle'... maybe a bolder font?
--#19 Seems too much like "pumping iron" - can you do something that would feel more inclusive of everybody - that focuses on being active and fit rather than big and strong
--#18 & #9 really like both of these. Like the contrast of the burgundy color for the ‘sports and fitness center’ in #9 - Can you change the sea foam color to something else in both? Also, is the figure looks like he's winning a race which is great, but we want to project a more inclusive image, meaning "active" and "fit" people as opposed to athletes. Finally, could you remove the hooks on the letter ‘o’? I like the font for the “S’s I believe but find the ‘o’ s distracting.
--#17, #16, #15 THESE are fantastic! Can you play with color a bit? I like the 3-d nature of the "S" in #17 & #15. can you try it with other colors besides grey & yellow? I think I like the red in #16. I like that the figure and the swatch of color portray motion.
--#14 Like the boldness of the bottom one, however, many people see a gun instead of a person. Can you play with the negative and positive space or the shape of the person so it looks less like a gun?
--#13 Perhaps you were trying to show both a human shape and allude to the sun, earth and water, but I first saw a 'scene' more than a person - can you change the colors and perhaps make the human form more apparent?
--#12 beautiful but something seems to give the feeling of a wellness center or nutrition center. We want a more active/bold logo.
--#11 like this one – can you make the ‘S’ stand out a little more.
--#10 these are nice, but just don’t seem to back a punch. We still want to be bold
--#8 needs to have “sports & fitness center” or “sports & fitness” in the logo. Not quite what we are looking for. The first seems like cirque du soleil, the 4th Hawaii
--#7 these are both classy – I think the figure seems a little blurred, like a rubber stamp with too much ink, can you sharpen them up? Also, while we do offer yoga, can you try a figure that is doing something more active?
--#6 Change the font a little? Add some color in the top one? Incorporate an image?
--#5 this has potential could you add “sports & fitness center” perhaps and maybe a less script-like font.
--#4, #3, #2 not different enough esp #4 it looks like our current logo with the bottom portion removed. They just don’t make a statement. We also do want some color.

#18 & #9 could you experiment with different colors as well as a less competitive figure?

General comments: Like the look of a person or people in the logo such as #s 18,17,16, 15 and 9. However #18 and #9 might be too "competitive looking"... We want the look to be "active" more than competitive. #7 might be too much like yoga.

Please remember to use "Sonora Sports and/& Fitness" or Sonora Sports &/and Fitness Center" in the logo. Sonora is the name of our town. These look great. More specific comments to come on Tuesday.
