General Contest Feedback: We really like a number of the ideas and concepts being shared. We would like to see some options without a cross in them just for perspective. We may well choose one with a cross, but we would like ideas that incorporate something else. As an example, we might use a boat / sailboat with a cross in the mast which could a play on the Christian heritage of boats (Jesus calming the waters when in the boat, fisherman of men, etc) AND the Lake Norman area.

We prefer designs that do not have color fades in them because they do not reproduce well on some surfaces (vinyl signs).

We like the designs that show a color version and an opposite / black & white version because we will likely need both for ultimate applications.

#8 We really like the lettering of the logo. Like that Mooresville/Lake Norman is small and its overall position in the logo. Design is not cluttered. Feel and flavor of design is good.

#10 Don't like the rays of light coming off the cross. A bit too common in Christian circles.

#4 Could you try something with some color incorporating blue and pewter together? Intrigued by the sense of motion created by the circling crosses.

#4 & 5: Very clean and straightforward. Good first impressions.

#5 See the water/lake illusion with wave under the shield. Shield with cross too strong an historical reference, almost reminds one of the crusades.

#6 We are concerned since the logo is square that it may be difficult to work with in certain applications because it is as wide as it is tall.

#2 Design is a little busy and we do not like the dots.

#7 Not the look we are going for in this design. Does not seem to appeal to our target audience as described in the brief.

#3 Interesting start. Unsure of the symbol. Like the clean, crisp, simple look. Not crazy about color.

#11 Clean and professional look. Do not like the flames coming off the cross.

#4. Could you do a version incorporating Mooresville / Lake Norman in some way?

#4 & 5: Could you try versions with some color? Possibly a blue of some sort tie to the lake motif. I would be open to other color options or suggestions as well.

#2: Design is a little busy in its current format. I do find the mixing of font colors to be an interesting feature.
