I just wanted to let everyone know that we have declared a winner but that there are actually two winners. We decided to purchase two logos because of internal disagreements and run some tests to see which one works best. The two designers we have decided on are highendprofile and DikranianDesign.

Thank you to everyone that entered the contest. There are a lot of very talented designers here and this is a great venue to allow people to access them. This was a great experience for us.

OK, I'm sorry for the delay. We are having an internal disagreement. I'll be posting a winner tomorrow. I thought I'd at least let everyone know who is in the running and that way the rest don't have to wonder. We have narrowed it down to: highendprofile, DikranianDesign, and Rudy Jordan.

I hope that you are not insinuating that I meant for anyone to steal others concepts and ideals because that was not the case or the intent. I was just brainstorming and trying to get ideas flowing in order to get the best possible logo. We actual have a concept for a particular part of our campaign that we will run a contest to have someone make that real. We wanted to start with this contest first so that we did not influence anyone in a particular direction.

Everyone, please keep submitting ideas. There are a number of really good ones, we're just looking for that really special something. I apologize if I offended anyone. I know that by the end of the contest there will be a difficult choice. We may actually pick more than one for different purposes and run some tests to see which one resonates with our clients the most.

Just wanted to throw this out there as I've been looking at these designs and trying to see what they make me think of, etc. There are lots of houses, keys, roofs, etc which is to be expected and on target considering the subject matter. There was only one person who submitted entries regarding a door opening or closing. Interesting concept considering the subject. Would maybe like to see that explored more......not ruling out the others because I really like some of them. Just brainstorming. Does anyone else have any thoughts on that. A Trapdoor comes to mind.

OK, I think I've given everyone some feedback. Just a few things for anybody else considering or for the others that I haven't mentioned it too.

I know yellow is a good marketing color but I'm not a big fan of yellow or gold. I know that may seem nit picky but if shirts or something have to be made, I'm not going to want to wear that. Sorry.

Also, there are a lot of cool concepts. I can tell I'm going to have a tough time picking one. I just wanted to give a little tip. I learned this the hard way after we named our company. Remember that some of the people that we're dealing with are in very difficult situations and have gotten themselves there by making wrong decisions, not completely understanding things, or many other reasons. Make sure that your concept is something that an average lay person is going to get at first look and not need explaining. I thought our company name was cool when we first came up with it. RealEdge Resources. It had Real and RE in there for Real Estate, it has Edge in there for being on the leading edge and Resources for helping people. However, when I say the name, I can't tell you how many don't get it, don't know how it's spelled, etc. Definitely a Learning Experience. Just goes to show that what you think is obvious is not necessarily so to others.

Keep up the good work. I'm so excited. This has been a great start to my first contest here. I love this process.

I have to say that I'm impressed that there are submissions so quickly. Signs of true Artists and skill.

Just to give a little insight for the rest of the submissions, I don't want anything too commercial looking or dark and hard. Remember, people need get a feel that there is someone to help them and be hopeful.
