I am really sorry if my comment was considered hurting illustrativecp. djtv, I respect your decision and the message I sent you was also for the same reason as we designers do report something suspicious if any to the original contest holder, just to make things clear. I am really very sorry once again if you didn't like me messaging you on that part and sir, I am not worried because I have lost this contest. I work for clients satisfaction and if anyone doesn't like my creations, I never feel bad.Same is in this case.I was a participant of this contest and not a hired designer, so results were not expected on my part in any way. I am glad that you have decided your winner and have a good logo for your company and thats all what matter.No hard feelings against anyone.Please don't take any of my words wrongly. I'll be careful in future about the same.Have a good day!:-)
@illustrativecp, congrats mate.I wish you don't see me as your envy, but as your competitor.Its good that you proved me wrong and thats what makes me feeling sorry for my suspicion.
Java, that was in bad taste. You sent me a private message about it and you should have ended it with that. To accuse this guy with a public comment was wrong. Illustrative's logo looks nothing like the one you linked to, period. I agree, you should show a little more respect to the designers, its like I tell my little league baseball team... its OK to lose, as long as you do it right. That wasn't right.
I respect my fellow designers and all the contest holders mate. I never point out any one out of personal reasons.I hardly know you and I don't participate on sitepoint contests much as I am a full time designer for 7 web based companies.Just pointed that out because I was messaged by a site point member about the same. I don't have that much time to search for the duplicate copies.Hope it makes everything clear.No offenses should be taken.I haven't said anything bad against anyone.If you win, I am not at any loss as my entry has already been given 1 star which means they didn't like it.Good luck for your win!
Java...I have never seen that logo in my life...and how is that like my submission? It is not. I believe you owe respect to your fellow contestants as well your judges.

yes, there are some entries that are not worthy of a rating. For the most part, we are very pleased with the entries and we HAVE given individual feedback to several designers that we thought had potential.
As for your comment "Masked", we figured that if you didn't take the time to read our original request then you would not read our feedback. Reminder... we asked for the designers to stay away from the obvious eyeglass motif.
And we did reach a desired logo, we are thrilled with the results.
