@TropicAndrew: The 'metal mohawk' comment was not intentionally inspired by your design, which is not the flat mohwak that I am thinking about (something which is more common on helmet designs)

The character will be used as a logo and possibly in a web-based comic-book style narrative in the future. The original contest brief still stands, of course: manga-inspired + friendly face + heroic stance + spacesuit + helmet + smile. Each artist has their own interpretation of this, so I didn't want to give more specific details because then it wouldn't really be a contest of original designs.

Regarding "uni-sissy" that's quite funny but only HLTB came up with the deep contrasting pastels that I was thinking about ;) However, it's not a necessity but some of you guys are using too much red in your designs (at first).

@okedokie: yes, bank wire transfer is ok.

@salescrafter: the look should be 'astroboy-inspired' whatever that means to you. If you think it's a more robotic costume then go for it. If you think it's flowing space robes then find a way to make it work. If he's more robotic yet still feels organic, then that's better than just him being a robot with little personality. I would lean towards his spacesuit being his costume. Also, Uniboy may possibly be developed into something more in the future, but for now he's just a logo to introduce himself to a web audience.
