I'm going to add individual feedback to the entries - sorry to all designers for the delay. I appreciate all of your efforts and thank you for taking the time to enter a submission. Please keep in mind that my critique is based on what I think will work best for me and not meant to slam anyone's design - god knows they are all better than anything I could have designed myself.
I should mention that I plan on using the winning design as the basis for many similar names that I own which are all Shop[City Name].com. I think it's vital that whatever graphic is incorporated not contain any reference to the city name like blackDesign's and firsttry's so I can easily swap the city name and not impact any other part of the design. It is perfectly acceptable to have any graphic and the word "Shop" tie together.
So far ReeDesign's is my favorite with RMX a close second.

Nice effort to those who followed my suggestion of trying to incorporate a skyline, however I now see that it is tougher to incorporate than I thought. I think I'm moving away from the concept but feel free to give it a go if you have ideas.
So far ReeDesigns' 3 shopping bags logo is my favorite. It's simple, clean, warm and friendly. I think that I like the shopping bags that look less real/detailed.
Agreed, both of ReeDesigns' entries are excellent. I particularly like the shopping bags.
I'd like to see some more designs with some graphic incorporated as opposed to just text. Perhaps a city skyline or silhouette, but nothing too grand as this is a fairly small town.
