A few comments:

We definitely want a Hawaiian component to this logo. One of the suggestions that I have been giving is to include the plumeria flower. You can see an illustrated example of that here: http://www.princeresortshawaii.com/…ach-hotel/ Incorporating the plumeria flower with its orange color in your design will greatly help it, but if you can come up with something incredibly amazing, we are definitely open to that as well. We are very open minded when it comes to design, but this might prove helpful to many of you.

In addition, please create this logo in a vector based format (more specifically Adobe Illustrator). We want to be able to scale this logo for banners and tshirt designs. Photoshop designs while nice don't really do too well when we blow them up to a larger size.

Just as a side note: For the Text "Kona Jazz Festival", please do not stack the text. We would like the text to appear horizontally at the bottom of the logo. (Another option: have the text appear horizontally to the right of your image element.) If you have any questions, please let me know, and I'll address it here.
