    I was probably out of line to say all. I'll go back to my quiet ways... I apologize if I offended anyone. I am not saying any names but some of designs are on the level. I just get tired of seeing stuff that looks so damn similar to every other contest. Take a shape, add a bit of warp, maybe not, and transform. Isn't exactly going to make this guys company stand out from the crowd but people don't give a ____... they just want paid, quickly.

    Mogeek, thanks for your comment, but you're out of line. I developed my designs from my own ideas, but you may have heard the saying, "There's nothing new under the sun." It means that although I did not copy my designs, as I'm sure is true for everyone else you mention, everything we have seen/read/done in our lives, indeed everything that has been done before us, influences us unconsciously to a degree you may be surprised by. My design may very well share a certain flavor with some other design(s) somewhere, but that in no way makes them unoriginal.

    You don't want copycats? Then i will suggest this. DO NOT CHOOSE ANY OF THE CURRENT 5 "STAR" DESIGNS. None are original.

    Also, with our being less than 24 hours away from the contest's end, here's my intended schedule over the next 24 hours. I know we have designers from all over the world, and that unfortunately means that there's never a good time to end a contest. My timezone is GMT-6. I will be posting comments and feedback off and on for the next 5.5 hours, or until about 5:00 GMT (11:00 PM Central USA). I will take things back up around 13:00 GMT (9:00 AM Central USA) and then of course the contest ends at around 22:00 GMT (4:00 PM Central USA). I will be furiously following the contest and posting comments, as quickly as possible, all day tomorrow. Thanks again.

    As we are now less than 24 hours away from the completion of the contest, I want to again thank everyone for their hard work, particularly those designers who have submitted multiple revisions and worked with me as the deadline has been counting down and the process has evolved. As we get closer to the end, obviously, my preferences become more and more transparent as I assign star ratings and eliminate designs. To that end, I implore all designers to continue to create independent work. I will do my best to give you feedback. But, I certainly don't want copycats. For newly posted designs and designers who have only recently joined the contest, please keep in mind that we have limited time to make revisions, and I do have to look at some designs with an eye of skepticism. I do want the best logo I can get, but this will be a fair contest. Thanks again for all of your work.

    @secondgig... based on what I can tell, the two designs were created independently, but I will never know for sure. I am trying to run this contest as fairly, openly and honestly as I know how.

    @getgraphic yea but for reference purposes if I have to do a revision it's easier to get a number seeing as i reference the designs like that in my file system

    @drunken_guy hmm , strange coincidences , don't you think its a bit odd though that you now submit the same design to this contest?
