I wanted to provide some final contest holder feedback:
1) To all designers who entered, thanks for your work
2) We ended up with quite a number of designs which could have been used
3) The feedback mechanism meant that quite a few designs looked similar at the end. We didn't regard this as a problem, if anything it confirmed our view on what we think will work in our situation.
4) The top few designs definitely complied with the brief in that they were relatively simple, with really only a couple of elements apart from the text.
We think this will work well for us, as it means the brand should be easy to recognise on the product, the web or on other collateral.

To all participating designers:
I think we now have the options we need to make a decision, so am inclined to bring this contest to a close early rather than have you keep working on alternatives. If anyone is part way through a design I would encourage you to post it soon, and wouldn't want anyone starting anything new as we certainly don't want to waste anyones time.

Yep, you summed up most of them ... although you might wish to add 'proportion', 'italicizing', 'orientation' and 'composition'. Hey listen, I'm glad you like the design.
iDeas : you're kidding me with #423 right? #260 got a nice rating just a short time beore your theme magically changed. What's up?
refering to #363. if you observe it, the word "CUBE" is in black and so is the color of your product.! i hope you've got the problem now..!you rated it 5 stars, thats strange..!!
all interested designers in the contest should have the privelege/right to express through their designs not build a wall on them, and elimination terms should be stated brief.
i thought this has narrowed down into some finalist? but as far as i'm seeing right now, many are new entries coming and take note they have star ratings. as i see it's unfair for those who are eliminated and trying to renew some concepts and keeping it in direction but now we're not allowed to enter. Knowing there still so much time, and these rules are not stated in the brief. i'm very disappointed with this. if Ch eliminates a designer and not allowed to enter again, thought it's better to close the contest and make a decision asap.
Can someone try a new idea for the wireless symbol?
I want to be so sure i can own the symbol and at the same time to be different and make a difference with my logo in the marketing campaigns! But, keep it simple, minimalistic and in the same time to be strong and not too overdone. BOLD is the word. Cheap, also.
Maybe someone could put some ruler units in the design idea to show clearly that's about a measuring device.
All that aside if the shaking hands above the globe, the wireless symbol and so on. But the ruler idea it sure does convey measuring device...
A light bulb maybe also or a led somewhere in the design? To show exactly that it's an intelligent device or/and maybe a speedmeter too...who knows...cliché?
Can I please add a couple of general comments. Firstly thanks to everyone for all the work. We have a number of fine candidates and will be selecting one by the end of the contest. We will be eliminating quickly from here on, otherwise we will never manage to get to shortlist and final few candidates. If I haven't given adequate feedback to you then I apologise, but this is a function of being overwhelmed with the volume of entries. We don't want to stop the contest early, but have to manage the numbers somehow.
