Hey guys... just focus on you design and do your thing..

if somebody get you idea and tweaked it, either its for good or for worst.. well hell yeah.. you have the right to be mad.. but just take it easy.. your job is to make that person pay by creating a much better design..

also, maybe i now just go to copy the idea of other submissions and only change the font style (but use the icons another designers used) and submit "my new ideas"...should not be a problem in this case eh?...you guys are funny.

As for the coyright issue...no one here claims that i own the rights...its the fact that i used it first on this contest submission as "idea"...+ i clearly stated that i have been asked by the contest owner "to look at other submissions for "IDEAS", then automaticaly comes in mind if the contest owner maybe asked you (or maybe even any other designer) to look for ideas from other submissions? This site is not an free idas library and each submission hold its own "RIGHTS"...i hope now it make sense.

I would like to clear a few things up on this discussion board:

1. I do not feel that my designs infringe on the rights of 'delight', nor do I feel that one person could claim to own copyright to the use of a flag in a circle.

2. I have responded to 'delight's concerns in a private message, following the advice given by '99designs.com' in FAQs - 'Your reputation is everything at 99designs — don't risk it by communicating personal matters through the contest discussion threads.'

ahh...you kidding me, ok in this case i am going to put mine back and see how you act. This thing now start to become serious and trust me i m ready to go faar into this as possible...even can let my lawers contact the site administration, the designer who submit a copy of my submissions and you...yes you too becouse you really acting funny. I have a message as prove where you ask me to have a look at other designers submissions for "ideas"!!!

And listen what, you are not free to ask designers to submit more designs or edidt exasting designs before you award the contest...read site TOS!!!

Sorry,i didn't understand..Do you want your logo in a vector format so you it is fully resizeable or a photoshop image in same resolution as the one on the website?

the site administration just send an reply to my violation report stating that unfortunely they cant help solve the issue...well i think in this case i will need to let http://www.ic3.gov/ solve it...(and i know they do immediately solve such issues).

its about on how a designer use the flag...since i was the first that used is as rounded icon shape, YES its my idea. I am not hobby worker, but fulltime freelancer for longer than 10 years and trust me i do know when is a violation and when not. Regarding business ethics i also know much...know what is ethic and what not. Ofcource you have right to ask for modifications but i dont only feel is right to ask for it before you pic a designer/submission as contest winner. Once you select the concept you like you can ask whatever changes you want...thats what i am saying and ofcource thats my oppinion only.

Also i dont feel is right to ask designers look at other submissions as reference...this maybe a violation of copyrights and we dont wish to get in trouble. I do register all my submissions under CC (creative common) licence and always watermark them...however watermark means nothing when it comes to the "idea development"...i can see a few designers already copy my idea of placing an circular icon (not a big deal, but this doesnt hange the fact that they may violate some rights!!!). I also dont think their "flag" look like an american flag...more kind of Australian or reminds UK flags due to the complex illustration they use (just my oppinion).
One side nite is... i dont feel the thing you do is right, we all know that 99 site is an contest site but this doesnt give you the right to ask "multiple" designers to edit their submissions...what you can do and is ethical is: you make comments only and wait with the requesting changes...once your listing is about to end you make your final decission and choose an designer and then you cn ask only this designer to do modifications.
...i hope it make sense.
