Ramius Corporation is an Internet applications company focused on the development and delivery of social software that empowers people and streamlines businesses. Our online community systems and social networking platforms drive networks of employees, partners, customers, and members for leading enterprises around the world including organizations such as NASA, SAP, IEEE, Kaiser Permanente, Dreamworks, and the World Bank. Founded in 1998, Ramius is based in Ottawa, Canada. Ramius is pronounced "Ray-Me-Iss". We develop various Software-as-a-Service offerings, each with a distinct brand (sixent.com and communityzero.com). Ramius is the general corporate entity under which our software products are managed. We are looking to have a new logo to replace one that we have used since the company was first founded, and which can be viewed on our corporate website at http://www.ramius.net

Requirements

We are looking to refresh our corporate identity with a new logo which will be incorporated throughout our corporate website (www.ramius.net), the websites of our online services, our stationery, and our printed materials. We are looking for a classic, contemporary logo that is attractive, memorable, and refined. It should not be trendy. It should not be too specifically linked to our current range of product offerings, although if you require a theme, all our software offerings are social, web2.0 applications. Designs do not have to relate in any way to our current logo. Our current corporate colour is bright red, but we are open to change. We are interested in a distinctive wordmark (think 'Prada') or a symbol/graphic alongside or above the word 'Ramius'. Optimally, we would have a graphic that could be used standalone as an icon, or together with our name as a complete logo. Ramius can be shown as 'Ramius', 'ramius', or 'RAMIUS'. The logo should be able to present well at large and small sizes, and in colour or b/w. We require the final graphic as a vector-based, layered AI file format (version CS3 or older). A high-resolution, layered PSD must be submitted along with the AI file if Photoshop was used to create the submission. For the font used, modified or not, provide its name and the location for online purchase. We require all ownership rights and copyrights.
