This client is having another contest located here;
http://99designs.com/contests/13427
firstly congrats Geca.
secondly to c3studios rational on contests i could not agree more.
I've seen contests get pretty ridiculous with holders feedback pushing designers
to submit many amends and designs without the understanding of the added time and thinking of the designer's to get his/her design to that stage. Which to me can be a disrespectful misuse of their time and efforts. Sometimes I've looked at a contest and feedback and thought that there's too many designs chewing at this bone and not entered. Lots of feedback is great in the practice of any design but only when the designer doing the work is actually hired to see the project through. Ok the contest holder gets what they wanted but sitepoint(or99designs) does advise giving thought to the amount of time it might take you to design according to the prize and c3studios comments are respectful of this which i commend.
I've often given thought if i where to hold a contest how would I go about it?
My resulting thoughts would very similar to c3studios. if i held a contest for a client of mine and left feedback and rated designs printed them out and showed them to the client they would seemingly pick one I had not initially liked, it happens alot.
maybe the only thing i would add to c3studios might be to leave a comment to any designs that nearly made it or a little bit of info on why the chosen winner was a successful design.
Congrats Geca! :)
congrats Geca!
Congrats Geca!
First i want to thanks very professional standing of C3studios, and for quick payment.
Also thanks a lot everyone who gave some comments and participate on this contest.
Best Regards Alex"Geca"
It`s very hard to `guess` the right look with this type of the feed.. :)
However, nice work there. Congrats, mate!

I would like to announce the winner of this contest! THE WINNER IS GECA for this entry;
http://99designs.com/contests/5326/…ies/341238
Please help me to congratulate the winner. There were so many great entries. I was personally impressed by so many designs.
Thanks C3.
the client will have a decision on Monday.
you love logos keep on doing them if win a contest celebrate if you dont still celebrate. do some more logos
@jemarc2004, you could be completely correct. Explain.
P.S. Could your explanation be in understandable grammar please.
i think ArrGee has a BIG, BIG problem of understanding...lol :)
Thank you CH, firstly for being a CH. Without you, we would not have a contest.
Secondly, thank you for your offerings on the hard life of being an agent.
However, this is where it falls down. You're an agent. You're a middle-man.
Most importantly, you 'HATE' designing logos whereas, most (IMO) designers here LOVE designing logos.
You hate it because it could be a low blimp on your revenue. We love it because we love it.
As the designers (contestants) have more passion for the design as opposed to revenue, they have far more respect for a CH that has a thorough understanding of requirements.
Would it not be better to get that understanding of requirements and then be able to give a better feedback based upon the clients' wishes?
Please don't get me wrong here, but you are better positioned to give feedback to designers as you are the CH.
Just return efforts where efforts have been paid. Simple.
Thank you for your very large explanation and I do agree with you to what your saying, but I do agree with the rest of the designers side. But at the end of the day it's your contest and your way of doing things. I'm glad your client has found some designs they like (I hope it's mine ;D).
I just cannot wait to view which one they have chosen.
oh...i see what arrgee was pointing at now. haha i actually thought i was getting a complement
