Just want to give everyone a heads up. I have like the design diversities that have been given but I want to make it clear that i am looking for something that is really modern and that reflects the theme of 911/Emergency/Attention/Reaction etc. I am planning on branding this as the first part of numerous work search related curriculums all with the 911 Theme. So there needs to be a common theme there. Hope this helps. Just find that most designs are good but not themed where I want them to be.
Thanks for the interest everyone, I will get to some of the questions and design elements.
First, EPS format is fine, I know the majority of designers are AI users and the reason I had CorelDRAW X3 as the format is for the presentation template that I had included in the original contest. I have since changed the parameters and there for don't need anything put a JPEG and EPS file for the stand alone logo.
Second, I apologize but I think I was unclear with colours. I am not wanting a green, orange and red logo. I like those colours individually. There is no need to combine them in one file. Those are base colours I prefer and you can work with whatever what ever colour scheme as long as one of those colours are in the base concept. Not a fan of orange and green together at all.
Third, I really want a logo that incorporates the whole 911/emergency/urgency/response theme. Don't know what that will look like but I hope you guys can be creative in your ideas and see what types of symbols and graphics you can brainstorm that will express that feel.
Lastly, my work is sold to companies and government agencies throughout North America so the logo has to remain professional. Some of the early entries were creative but to over the top and didn't really hit a theme that stuck me right away.
It there are any spelling errors or grammar errors, please forgive, it is late but wanted to get some feedback going.
Blessings & Goodnight

hmm..i didn't know that - thanks for the VERY helpful info ingressio!!
You know that an EPS can open in Corel as well as Illustrator and a number of other design programs. Ex. I also work designing signs. At that shop we use FlexiSign Pro and EPS's work even in that programe. So if it is designed in Illustrator we can send you an EPS and it should work.

can we use illustrator instead of corel and still provide you with the jpegs and eps formats?
Thanks alot guys, I appreciate your input and have made some changes. Please check back as I have made it a logo only auction.
Thanks
Actually - you might want to split the presentation and logo into separate contests. Many designers only work with either Illustrator or Corel, not both.
Just letting you know, if you're looking for entries including a logo AND an uncoded template, you might get more entries if you raise the prize a bit... I know that's why I'm skipping this one
