After very careful consideration, we are delighted to now be able to announce a winner for this contest!

Before we go any further, we'd like to state what the criteria were to enable this to happen:

1: Choice of colour scheme
2: Use of typography
3: Design of graphical element
4: Ability to repurpose the design for a range of media, including printed matter.
5: Overall look and feel.
6: Ability to effectively use the design in mono/greyscale.

As previously stated, the choice was by no means an easy one to make given the extremely high standard of EVERYONE's submissions.

And now the final judging process begins in earnest - this is something of an unenviable task given the superlative quality of the entries! We've never before seen a race where the vast majority of entrants are favourites to win! Please bear with us while we make our choice, which we will post as soon as possible. If your design is not picked on this occasion, we hope you will not be offended by this, and of course, these entries would make fine assets in any designer's portfolio.

Thanks are also due for all your considerable time and effort, and responsiveness to our feedback over the course of this contest - with regard to entries posted subsequently to statd's #3, we were not able to post comments as it was the middle of the night here in the UK, and we were asleep! Again, please do not take this lack of feedback as a negative judgement on your work. Thanks also for your comments to us - we've really enjoyed the experience of working with you all, and wish you every success in the future :)

We've been overwhelmed by the quantity and quality of the entries, and are doing our utmost to provide the fullest and fairest feedback possible. However, given the huge volume of logos here, please appreciate this takes some time to do - if we haven't got to yours yet, please bear with us...it will happen!

Finally, given the overall very high standards of designs submitted, it is true to say that we feel like children in a sweet shop - with so many great logos to choose from, we want them all! Unfortunately though, given budgeting constraints, we can't really take every single entry (as much as we might like to), so the final judging process is going to be very tough indeed, but rest assured, our decision will be made at the appropriate time.
