Sorry about the delay on announcing a winner. We got so many great entries at the last minute that it is hard to choose between them. As I am sure you know choosing a logo is very important to a company, so we are taking time with this process and discussing the merits of each one.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We just received information from the client that designs without the chain are acceptable and encouraged! Please provide versions in this new format. Because of the last minute change I am extending the contest deadline once more.

I am having one hell of a time getting this globe to look like it is in rotation. Are there any others with the same issue?
Using an actual photo is potentially alright. I don't know how it would look, but feel free to give it a try.
The most important change to all of these logos is that the globe has to convey rotation.
