CloseDesign brief
need to have a logo created (suitable for business cards, letterhead, etc.) for a newly created non-profit summer camp for children focused on wildlife education and animal care.
Zootopia
- Desired Color Scheme
- earthy. inspired by nature. true to the animals displayed
- Desired Style
- detailed. could be illustrated, but should look more realistic than cartoony
- Accepted File Formats
- Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff)
the name of the company/camp is called "Zootopia" and may be either incorporated into the logo design, or just be text that is placed with the logo.
the over-arching "symbolism" of the logo/identity is "everything is at peace and in balance with each other."
the logo should be full color and very detailed. not "cartoony". want to see a lot of animals in the logo. the collection of animals should represent as best as possible all the continents, as well as the categories of land, ocean, air, jungle, desert, etc.
ultimately, there will be 3 versions of this logo.
1. the small one (being designed here) for business cards, etc.
2. a medium sized one that could be used on stickers, bumper stickers, t-shirts, mugs, etc.
3. a large size that could be used on posters and movie-style "one sheets"
the larger versions of the logo will have more detail, more room for more animals, etc. and when viewing them it will be clear that they all are the same logo for the same non-profit.
but the small one should be able to stand by itself and represent the information outlined above. that's why we're starting with it.
we will purchase at least 1 of the submitted designs. however, it is likely that we will end up purchasing 2 or 3 of the logo designs submitted here for further "fine-tuning" by a pro-bono designer.
it's important to note, however, that if we get a great design from here that we love, we may have that chosen designer do the additional versions for us.
