I just want to comment to Sammyloski on the logo looklike thingy.. I totaly agree with you and as you also can see in the comment I gave on his logo.. It looks too alike yours.. So I didnt want to do anything with that logo.

I realize they are similar, but there is only so much you can do with a check mark. Blue, orange and green are popular colors and I chose blue and orange. As for the tagline area, if you look at some of the other contests I have entered in the past, you'll notice I prefer to have a tagline when the logo is kind of "dull". And when you are placing an icon in a logo, there are usually 2 places: top and left side - I did both. Squarelogo, melissamax, superconnected, and vickig444 all have a check-off list with the text in blue and nobody said a word. So I (ignorantly) assumed all the designers were in agreement that the entries for this contest were going to be similar as they often are in contests where the name/idea is something pretty specific.
I apologize for making it similar to yours - that was not my intention. I'll withdraw my entries and wish you luck.
@ jackieh1791: Just wanted to say that the logo you submitted looks too similar to my entry, not saying that you copied it exactly, but you used the same colors and same placing. In your first submission it is almost identical. I understand what the contest holder asked for, and that it is obvios that most designers will include a checkmark, so the checkmark has nothing to do with this comment, just the way you designed your logo, the colors, and the positioning of the objects look too similar. Just wantd to make this clear, and its up to you if you want to revise your concept. Thanks.
