CONTEST #1 - NEW COMPANY LOGO - I need a very fun and exciting logo for a new company called ShredderDog.com with "ShredderDog.com" being the company name. "Shredder" is the name of our mascot the SNOWBOARDING dog.
PRIZES:

LOGO: 1st Place $150.00. This will be paid to the designer of the best company logo. If we like a 2nd Place logo, you will receive $75.00.

BANNER: 1st Place $100.00. This will be paid to the designer of the best banner. We would prefer to have the same designer do both.

** FYI, after we find a logo, we may have start another Sitepoint contest for a flash intro the website with a dog riding a snowboard, so send us a message for details if you are interested in that one. **

BACKGROUND INFO:
The company will sell t-shirts, hats, stickers and other related pet supplies. Shredder is the name of the dog. The dog should be riding a snowboard, possibly jibbing a box or rail and wearing snowboard goggles. We would love to see a shaggy dog, with long hair. Picture a dog hanging his head out of the window, with the hair blown back aerodynamically and the tongue wagging in the wind. If a dog was riding a snowboard, we would like to convey the same image.

Using the name inside the logo is not necessary, it could appear on a box or rail or on the bottom of the snowboard, or on an article of clothing. I have about 5 different .jpg images from various sites that will help get the creative juices flowing that I can email to you.

We want a fun logo. We are open to any color combinations, so go ahead and play with different shades and have fun with it. We are open to all types of logo's, but DO NOT want CLIPART, only original artwork that is fully transferable without royalty. We like Web 2.0, and cartoony, fun designs.

We will be need to print the logo on t-shirts and business cards. Will be giving timely, regular feedback. If we do not find a logo we like we will not choose a winner so be creative. We also reserve the right to extend the contest if a winner is not chosen within two weeks. If your logo is chosen, we will have future/additional design work needs as the website is under construction. Client is looking for clean, professional branding. This logo needs to be embedded in peoples minds when they hear the name Shredder Dog. I know you can all come up with something that will rock our socks off thats why I started the contest.

FORMATS: Logo designs can be submitted in any format (Vector, Photoshop, GIF, JPG, TIFF) but the final design will need to provided in Adobe Illustrator (Vector Format). Basically, everything you need for web, print and signage. We will own the final logo design, but you can use it in your portfolio's.

Lastly, we will need a brief contract from the winning designer, assigning copyright to Shredder Dog, before issuing payment. The contract will state that the designer warrants the originality of the artwork.

CONTEST #2 - BANNER AD:
The banner will be utilize the logo and be used on affiliate sites and for advertising on other websites and possibly in print. Once you have a banner designed, submit your entry to SitePoint for feedback. We will try to get you feedback within 24 hours.
BACKGROUND:
You can create a banner in any size for the contest. The winning design will be awarded $100.00 for the Leaderboard format 728 x 90. We will pay an additional $20.00 for each of the banner sizes listed below for a total of $200.00 to the winning designer of the banners.

Desired File Formats: AI Adobe Illustrator (Vector), PNG Photoshop, Flash, GIF, JPG, TIFF. Animated GIFs are fine too, but nothing too crazy that it hurts your eyes to look at it.

SUMMARY: $150.00 for 1st Place Logo Design + $100.00 for Banner Ad + $20.00 for each additional size banner ad needed.
