    Thankyou Rickshow for pointing that out to me.

    Not as unique as i had once thought, but still unique enough for this project! And #16 is sufficiently different when copyright is concerned, right? Actually may have been better to remain more similar to that link you sent me- without the lips line more like a lion - great symbol of power in Ethiopia!

    Couple thoughts of new attempts :-

    I had a few 'splash' images uploaded and some throughts about it in the reference material. I really like the way a splash of ink can be make to look like a crown, but also understand the ease of being considered paint rather than precision ink. If anyone is confident in tackling this potential idea, i would very much appreciate seeing it in a logo to get a better idea of whether it will work!

    Alternatively, something with the ribbons of colour from the reference material.
