freshjolt - mindseye hasn't thrown anyone under the bus. A lot of contest holders, especially newer ones, aren't aware of the fact that some people use stock clip art in their submissions. In the long run, after the contest has ended, it's the site owner who may face legal repercussion due to someone else's negligence.

There are a couple front-runners in this contest, neither of which is mindseye or myself, so our comments are sincere and in the best interest of the contest. There's no intent to take people down to make ourselves look good. Designs should speak for themselves. If people are doing their own work, they shouldn't have anything to worry about.

just for the record not that I really care but my design came from a magazine that had a similar artwork such as the one you had posted from istockphoto. The designers on istockphotos I am sure get there ideas from the same places others here do if you look close you will see mine is different & I did not get it from that website. You are defaming designers who do use their own work but thanks for trying to throw others under the bus so you might win a contest.

Hi mindseye - I'm sure I saw your design but I see you've withdrawn it now. I think we've all exhausted horse related icons, so I figured there'd be some overlap. Didn't mean to not give you props on your logo.

I'm looking - I'm finding - I'm going to keep posting anything else I find.

mindseye.... wow......Do people not realize that these contest holders' companies could eventually face legal issues if people use copyrighted materials when they "create" their logo?? Designing a logo means more than cut and paste. I feel for the contest holders. Some of them know this happens, but it's the others who are unsuspecting that I assume are awarding a prize for their favorite design, not knowing it's lifted from someone elses hard work. Come on, guys... give these people what they're paying for.
