wow! after one month and two weeks, finally! ...congrats denilicious!
Just a quick update. Our client is reviewing the existing logos and we'll be selecting a new winner shortly.
Designers, we have a problem. It seems that the winning designer submitted the same logo to another contest at the same time as he submitted it to this one. And he won that contest. That's why he erased all traces of his entry here.

So now we're in a bit of a bind as we've got to go back to the client, who carefully deliberated in selecting that logo, and tell them that it's longer available. All that time and effort is sorta wasted.
I don't know what the official policy is about submitting the same design to more than one *active* contest (it's another to recycle a design after not winning a contest that has long since ended...) - but it seems like really poor form, for exactly this reason.
So this is weird. The client made a decision (finally) but...the winning entry seems to be missing. If that designer is still around, and reads this...where'd you and your entries go? The number of the submission was 684553.
Not sure how to handle this one...
Yet another status update...The client is currently reviewing the options. They do not make decisions quickly. The project is alive and well, and moving forward. Will complete the transaction as soon as we possibly can.
Thanks.
I feel like a broken record on this :-)
NOBODY WILL BE SHORTCHANGED BECAUSE WE POSTED THIS CONTEST ON CROWDSPRING!
We are going to pay a designer on each site the full amount agreed to at the outset of the contest. The fact that we have solicited designs from other sources has no impact whatsoever on the contest we are running here.
Thanks for acknowledging the cross posting Tom - look forward to your decision! As you now know, it is actually against our guidelines to cross post - we would not be happy for this to happen again as designers on one of the sites would be short changed.
Hey everyone: an update. The presentation to the client has been schedule for Wednesday August 13. A decision will follow soon after (hopefully). Also, if you have noticed that the same contest was posted on Crowdspring, note that a designer will be awarded from both sites regardless of which of the two winners' logos is selected by the client.
Nevermind. Explained:
Nope, not a coincidence. We typically use 99designs for simple logos, but decided we wanted to give crowdspring a try. The cash award is lower because we knew we would have pay a designer on each Web site, even though we're not going to use both of them, and had established that contest first with our typical award ($500). So essentially, because we wanted to try out crowdspring, we're paying $300 more for this logo than we would otherwise. It is not a reflection of how we value anyone's time - but we had already committed half a grand to someone on the other site and chose to limit our losses for this experiment.
isnt crowdspring gauranteed prize ???

????
Thanks to all the designers who submitted. We really do value your time and your skills. Next steps: a handful of designs will be presented to the client middle of next week (August 5 - 7), at which time a preferred logo will be selected. That designer will be awarded the contest, and we may request some minor tweaks to the winning design based on the client's feedback.
Stay tuned.
Tom,
In your brief you have both the names:
"Center for Strategic Innovation" and "Center for Social Innovation".
Please clarify which one is required for the logo.
Regards,
Frazer
We prefer to use PayPal which is a free way for designers to receive payment, while providing a bit more protection for both parties.
Hi, would you consider Western Union as a method of payment?
