Congrats mcros - a nice, simple, and descriptive entry...
Roy, thanks again!
And thanks to all for approval =)
Hi to all designers,
I have just awarded the logo + button prizes to mcros. Our team felt that his proposal was spot on in the conceptualisation of our brand & button. I would like to thank you all for the incredible time and effort spent on this competition. I know that this was a challenging one since our product concept is far from being easy to visualise! I hope that my feedback was useful even though I am not a designer, far from that. I tried to be as honest and direct in my comments so please don't take it badly if some of you didn't agree with them. I really enjoyed working with all of you and certainly hope to be back here for another competition as we develop our company and products. This was a very new and worthwile experience for me.
Good luck to all of you for your future competitions.
Best regards,
Roy
:)) for you mcros
olesolo, thanks! =)
Good luck mcros!
Nice to see Rs have started to speak out after my "r." ;)
@Doktorstavra: Wow dude! Way 2 go!
@Mogeek: You go by as ulahts as well? {some entries are so similar;)}
@ Roy
Very thanks for your explanation. It's really very important remark.
Hi again,
Following my last point I must stress that the button standing alone without our logo or product name is very important. We need users to think "ah this is rspeak!" when they see our button without the logo...Our service is competing for very limited space where we are often next to Print and Send or Share buttons as you can see from the New York Times article link example in my precedent comment.

Hi All,
I had another thought. To visualise how well the button would do could you also perhaps contextualise the button next to other icons on web articles. The idea is for me to visualise your buttons in a real-life context. You could for example paste your achievements on this type of article :
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/01/b…ref=slogin
You could place your buttons just beneath the "share" one :
# Sign In to E-Mail or Save This
# Print
# Single Page
# Reprints
# Share
Thanks

@ svetionik
thanks =)
Hi All,
You don't imagine how amazed I am by the feedback and proposals I am getting from you all. Whether you get stars from me or not, I am just thrilled by how the Internet can get people from thoughout the world to work on a project like this. That is the good part of Internet :-) I connect to 99 designs evey hour or so to see the latest proposals and true to my promise I give you my feedback which is not one of a designer as you will have guessed ;-). I feel you are all part of the rSpeak family now and would like to thank you all for your efforts.
I have not - yet - given 5 stars to anyone. Some of you are on the right path to get to the killer brand and button I am after. But the competition is far from over, in fact we have only reached half-way!
Anyway, these were just a few Saturday musings. I wish you all a very good week-end.
Roy
mcros, wow! :)
Hi All Designers!
Many many thanks for your proposals!
I was thinking, and this is only an idea I just had and maybe has very little design potential, that we are about converting text into speech as you all have understood by now. I have seen little attempts to creatively show this. The idea would be to symbolise in the button text being transformed into sound. Challenging I know since the button needs to be small as explained in an earlier general comment. Just a thought.
Have a nice day or evening depending on what part of the world you happen to be in!
Roy
