It was a really tough decision and the fact that I couldn't get anyone around me to agree on a single design didn't help either. I've spent the last night extensively testing the three designs (size, colour, b&w, etc) and they were still pretty close to one another.

NothingMan's entry was good and recognisable, but, in the end, I decided that I didn't like the head that much and it looked a bit like a wolf as well. Still, it was an awesome design and a favourite for some people around me.

SynergyDesigns' entry was fantastic in terms of design and elegance, but it lost some of its lustre in B&W. Still, it was an awesome entry, but when it come down between it and Entz's entry, I simply liked Entz's entry more.

Entz' entry was great from the beginning. It had (and still has) some flaws, but I kept coming back to it again and again. To me, it striked a perfect balance between a professional logo and a cool logo. Also, it was one of the few logos here that actually delivered on the key goal of projecting speed, strength and agility.

Thank you all for participating. I have honestly been amazed with the responses I have received here - the quality and the choice is on-par if not higher than the commercial work I've come across. I will definitely be coming back for any future design work I need done.

And then there were three. I will have the decision made by tomorrow morning.

Thank you again for your patience, I appreciate it, but you people need to get out a bit more - surely waiting a week for someone to make a decision is nothing.

Anyway, almost there... I think I know which way I'm gonna go, but I just want to sleep on it :-)

just a bit of an updated. i made a top 15 list over the weekend and i'm now slowly eliminating it down to about 4-5 (hopefully).

i'll try now to give each design a bit of feedback on the reasons why i eliminated it.

It has been brought to my attention that leaving a contest without a winner for more than a week is generally not acceptable. I will aim to declare a winner before 5pm AEST Wednesday next week.

There's almost only a day left in the contest. I've been trying to wrap up my feedback with most of you and I think that most of the designs that are here are pretty much finalised except a request for a different colour/font combo here and there.

If anyone is planning on submitting something completely new, you need to do it very soon because otherwise I won't have enough time to give you a proper feedback and go through a few iterations with you.

Note the words "currently" and "my" - that is, it's subject to change and i'm not the only one who will make a decision. So, if your entry is not in the list above and it's still in the contest (ie. I haven't removed it), then don't worry.

I've also compiled this list relatively quickly so I didn't include some variations from few people who have submitted more than one similar design. If this applies to you, your other entries are still in the running.

Again, this list is only to give you a feeling of where I think I'm going at the moment, so that you know if you need to work harder to fix up your existing designs or submit something new and fresh.

For anyone who hasn't yet submitted anything, the contest is very much still open. I will not be making the final short list until the contest has closed and I will not be discussing it with other people in the company until than either.

I can, I do and I will keep an open mind. It's only been 5 days so I still expect a lot more entries in this contest in the next 5 days.
