Hi everyone...this is a holiday weekend in the US so I might not be able to get a final decision on this til Tuesday. Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks for the great entries and if anyone wants to give a PM to me with more specific and teaching information for kahuna, PM me...if there really are some technical problems, I want to know. The font is estilo and has a unique spacing. That's just how that font is and it's a highly rated pro-quality font. (I checked on it)

wow are you SERIOUS. 5 star for Kahuna. either this person is blind or has no idea what good design looks like. honestly i could have made that design using microsoft paint. The letters arent even consistent and the spacing is all over the place.
Hi Rocky...She's still preferring kahuna's entries, but hasn't decided for sure. She's going to let everyone put their ideas out there and then make a decision when the contest ends. Thanks for your great entries, everyone!

Ok--general comment here. I went through all the submissions with the client and she has developed here preferences in the process and decided against the cisco-looking bridge concept with just vertical straight lines. She's favoring brush strokes. She's marked a few with 5 stars that she likes. One of them doesn't use brush strokes, but emphasizes the curves of the bridge. So maybe stick to curved lines and brush strokes.

Hi Everyone. Keep the designs coming. I'm in contact with the client and will post more ratings tomorrow (Monday) hopefully.
I took the serif font off the "don't" list after talking to the client. I realized that it is done right, that would be ok.
The client likes the "engineeringness" of #16 but wants to know if the bridge cables could go behind the letters like the grid is in this earlier mockup:
